From the motorway: Leave the M4 at J37 and follow signs to Porthcawl (A4229). On reaching the Texaco petrol station at South Cornelly, turn right at the roundabout (3rd exit). At the next roundabout, go straight across (2nd exit), and carry on to the end of the dual carriageway. At the next roundabout, take the fourth exit, passing the doctors’ surgery on your left (there is a pay and display car park off this roundabout). Go straight through the traffic lights and, at the next junction (with the supermarket on your left and the library straight ahead of you) turn right. Take the next right-hand turn into Victoria Avenue. Tŷ Elis is roughly three quarters of the way down, on the left-hand side.
Remember: allow time to find a parking space on Victoria Avenue or alternatively park in the pay and display car park just off the roundabout as you come into Porthcawl.

The nearest main-line railway stations are Port Talbot Parkway (coming from the west) and Bridgend (coming from the east). All trains also pass through Pyle station, but stops are only made every two hours. The X2 Vale Express bus leaves Cardiff for Porthcawl twice an hour (journey time roughly 90 minutes), calling at Cowbridge, Bridgend and Laleston en-route. All other bus connections from the east require a change at Bridgend.
From Swansea, the 224 sevice to Porthcawl via Port Talbot leaves once an hour (journey time roughly 80 minutes). All other routes require a change at Pyle or Laleston.
